Typing While Black’s creator believes in Hush Puppy and Pronoia, likes her jazz with a little James Brown (read: Cannonball Adderly), and is a long-time practitioner of dark chocolate- and Thomas Mapfumo-induced ecstatic dance.
Originally from an archipelago of Funk Island, TWB’s creator currently lives in Harlem near the intersection of Nina Simone and Female Agitator boulevards with her collection of north stars.
